Dr. Marc Avram was born and raised in Brooklyn Heights, New York. Dr. Avram is a board certified dermatologist who trained at Harvard Medical School. He has been in private practice for nearly two decades, and is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College. In addition to treating all aspects of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Avram specializes in hair transplantation and cosmetics.
He has authored five textbooks on hair and cosmetic dermatology: Procedural Dermatology, published in 2015 by McGraw-Hill, Color Atlas of Cosmetic Dermatology, Second Edition, published in 2011 by McGraw-Hill, Hair Transplantation, published in 2010 by Cambridge University Press, Color Atlas of Cosmetic Dermatology, published in 2007 by McGraw-Hill, and Laser and Light Source Treatments For the Skin, published in 2013 by Jaypee Publishing.
Dr. Avram serves on the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed journals, and has shared his expertise hundreds of times as an invited lecturer at professional meetings worldwide.
